So yesterday I finally did what I've been meaning to do for, like, forever -- took pictures of a significant amount of my old high school art and uploaded them onto DA. They're not the greatest things ever, and they're 6-7 years old, but looking at them after so much time I'm actually pretty impressed with what I did back then. I really miss high school art, working on things on a regular basis and being 100% focused on art for at least an hour and a half every day, etc. I miss that mentality. Trying to find my way through "adulthood" now with a college degree, etc., having so much else to do, I rarely ever finish pieces anymore and I'm always so distracted. (When I do finish stuff, though, I'm super excited about it, lol). Since high school, I've definitely improved on some of my cartooning techniques, but I do sometimes miss the days of still lifes and realism. It'll take me some good practice to get back to where I was then.
On a happier note, now having 58 deviations to my name instead of 14 (or less), I actually look like a real artist now, haha!
